EDU480 Theory and Practice Teaching Arts Elementary

Introduces elementary teachers to the theory behind arts integration practices for the K-8 classroom. Engages participants in an examination of the various approaches to integrating the arts into other curricular areas, including English language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, and technology. Provides opportunities for teachers to participate in and reflect on arts-integrated immersion experiences. Assists teachers in developing pedagogical skills to successfully design and implement arts-integrated instruction in formal and informal learning spaces.
